The Loire Valley has often been referred to as le jardin du France, and it really does deserve that title. From this garden comes a big variety of produce, meats and cheeses, but also wines from all styles. Bone dry bubbly, luscious off-dry Chenin Blanc, and earthy Cabernet Franc are all part of the cast here, as well as a host of other smaller regional styles. Sauvignon Blanc is of particular merit here in the Loire, where Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé try to outdo each other. You can start exploring the Loire, but it's very hard to finish exploring it!
